Art Institute of Chicago

The Art Institute of Chicago is a renowned art museum of the world. Except for Christmas, thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, this museum is open every day. Adults are charged $12 while senior citizen is charged a fee of $7. Children aged 12 or below are free.

You will also find design and architecture, textile, contemporary, decorative and many other forms of art. The architecture category contains about 250,000 collections of drawings, fragments, models from 1870’s.

The Asian section includes 35,000 objects namely Chinese bronzes, ceramics, textiles, paintings, sculpture and many more. The African section contains more than 400 works on Sahara artistic expression. Other items included are beadwork, textiles, regalia, sculpture and African ceramics.
